The Crowns and Bridges Laboratory is one of the important laboratories in the Department of Prosthodontics. It was established along with the department in 1953. It includes a specialized staff of highly experienced technicians. This laboratory has developed alongside the college, and has been equipped with modern, high-quality equipment, especially in the field of ceramics, including a computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) system.
This laboratory performs the necessary laboratory work to complete the students’ practical training in the fabrication of fixed dental prostheses. It also provides valuable services to patients visiting the teaching hospital of the College of Dentistry/University of Baghdad.
Laboratory Objectives:
The main objective of the department is to graduate dentists capable of practicing comprehensive prosthodontic treatment at the primary healthcare level, in addition to possessing the motivation to acquire further skills, knowledge, and lifelong learning throughout their professional careers after graduation.
