Under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdel-Razzaq Mohamed, College of Dentistry University of Baghdad organized a scientific symposium on stem cells and orthodontics entitled \u201cStem cells and orthodontics\u201d by Prof. Dr. Mashreq Fawzi, in the presence of a number of teaching staff.<\/span>
\nThe scientific symposium aimed to introduce the benefit of stem cells in various medical fields, including dentistry. Stem cells have the ability to transform into different types of cells. One of its most important uses in orthodontics is to speed up the movement of teeth, as well as to compensate for bone lose.<\/span>
\nThe symposium dealt with several topics, including defining stem cells and their benefits, and the current methods of using stem cells.<\/span>
\nThe presenter recommends reviewing the literature of recent studies about stem cells.<\/span><\/p>\n
