Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdel Razzaq Muhammad<\/span>
\nThe College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a continuing education course entitled Developments in periodontal Diseases, delivered by Assistant Prof. Dr. Haider Raad and Prof. Basema Ghafouri and Assistant Professor Nada Kazem, in the presence of a number of teaching staff and postgraduate students.<\/span>
\nThe course aimed to present new methods in diagnosing and treating periodontal diseases and how to deal with surgical complications.<\/span>
\nThe course also included several topics that addressed:<\/span>
\n1. Making the decision to treat hopless teeth.<\/span>
\n2. Complications and treatment errors related to regenerative periodontal surgery.<\/span>
\n3. Evaluation of tooth erosion and treatment methods.<\/span>
\nThe course recommended improving dentists’ ability to make correct clinical decisions in treating hopeless cases and ways to avoid complications related to periodontal surgery by applying approved safety procedures and treating dental erosion using advanced techniques to achieve the best therapeutic results for patients.<\/span><\/p>\n
