Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul-Razzaq Mohammed.<\/span>
\nThe College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a continuing education course entitled “The Molecular and Health Effects of Fast Food on the Human Body,” with the participation of several faculty members.<\/span>
\nThe course aimed to highlight the biochemical, immunological, and pharmacological effects of fast food and to demonstrate its relationship to chronic diseases, metabolic disorders, and immune system dysfunction.<\/span>
\nThe course covered several key topics, including:<\/span>
\n1- Inflammation and immune system dysfunction resulting from fast food consumption.<\/span>
\n2- The effect of fast food on drug metabolism and bioavailability, and on lipid metabolism pathways.<\/span>
\n3- The chemical interaction between trans fats and cellular proteins.<\/span>
\n4- The biochemical effect of fast food on oxidative stress.<\/span>
\n5- Chemical additives in fast food and their long-term health effects. 6- Understanding the mechanisms of immune system dysfunction resulting from unhealthy diets.<\/span><\/p>\n

The course recommended the following:<\/span>
\n\u2022 Enhancing nutritional awareness among community members.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Integrating molecular nutrition concepts into medical curricula.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Conducting scientific research on the impact of processed foods on public health.<\/span>
\n\u2022 Collaborating between medical and health colleges to develop preventive and therapeutic strategies.<\/span><\/p>\n
