{"id":4964,"date":"2024-02-20T16:10:40","date_gmt":"2024-02-20T16:10:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.codental.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=4964"},"modified":"2026-02-24T16:14:11","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T16:14:11","slug":"college-of-dentistry-organizes-a-scientific-seminar-on-the-concept-of-sustainable-development-and-environmental-sustainability","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.codental.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=4964","title":{"rendered":"College of Dentistry Organizes a Scientific Seminar on the Concept of Sustainable Development and Environmental Sustainability"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Under the patronage of the respected Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Mohammed, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific seminar entitled \u201cThe Concept of Sustainable Development and Environmental Sustainability.\u201d The seminar was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Sahar Hashim Abdul Karim and was attended by a number of faculty members of the college.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The seminar aimed to introduce the concept of sustainable development and environmental sustainability, highlight their importance, and discuss the current state of the environmental dimension in Iraq, along with its challenges and possible solutions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The seminar covered several key themes, including:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">1. Concepts and dimensions of sustainable development<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">2. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">3. Environmental sustainability in all its aspects<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">4. Obstacles to sustainable development<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">5. Iraq\u2019s proposed and future vision for achieving sustainable development based on the country\u2019s capabilities and characteristics<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The seminar recommended the formation of specialized scientific committees and workshops, in cooperation with Iraqi universities, to establish mechanisms that serve the community across various fields contributing to improved sustainable development indicators.
