Preparation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">A research paper entitled <em>\u201cEvaluation of Apical Debris Extrusion, Unprepared Wall Areas, and Dentinal Crack Formation After Root Canal Preparation Using ProTaper Next, ProTaper Ultimate, and R-Motion File Systems\u201d<\/em> has been published by Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Hamid Ali, Head of the Restorative and Esthetic Dentistry Department, and Master\u2019s student Haider Abbas from the College of Dentistry, University of Baghdad, in collaboration with Professor Francesco Mannocci from King\u2019s College London (KCL), UK.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">The paper appeared in the <strong>Journal of Endodontics<\/strong> (USA), published by the <strong>American Association of Endodontists<\/strong>, ranked sixth among the world\u2019s top ten journals in dentistry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Study aim:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">To evaluate and compare the amount of apically extruded debris, unprepared wall surface areas, and dentinal crack formation resulting from root canal preparation using different file systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Methodology:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Laboratory experiments were conducted on extracted teeth.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Advanced computer software was used to measure apically extruded debris and unprepared wall areas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Dentinal cracks resulting from root canal preparation were assessed using three-dimensional imaging techniques, allowing indirect measurement without damaging the teeth.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Results:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">No statistically significant differences were found among the three file systems in terms of debris extrusion or the number of apical\/dentinal cracks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">The unprepared wall surface areas were similar across all systems, except for <strong>ProTaper Ultimate<\/strong>, which showed the smallest unprepared apical surface area.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">PTU files demonstrated higher effectiveness in preparing the apical third by reducing unprepared wall surfaces in the root canal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\"
