{"id":5799,"date":"2026-03-07T13:40:18","date_gmt":"2026-03-07T13:40:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.codental.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=5799"},"modified":"2026-03-07T13:41:00","modified_gmt":"2026-03-07T13:41:00","slug":"a-seminar-on-the-impact-of-the-holy-quran-on-promoting-social-peace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.codental.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=5799","title":{"rendered":"A Seminar on the Impact of the Holy Quran on Promoting Social Peace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul-Razzaq Mohammed<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad \u2013 Media and Government Communication Division, in cooperation with the Basic Sciences Branch, organized a seminar entitled &#8220;The Impact of the Holy Quran on Promoting Social Peace and Rejecting Violence and Extremism&#8221; on the occasion of National Quran Day. The seminar was presented by Dr. Zainab Ali Salman and Mr. Bahaa Al-Din Salah Fadhil, and was attended by a number of students from the college.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The seminar aimed to highlight the fundamental role of the Holy Quran in establishing the values \u200b\u200bof social peace, promoting a culture of coexistence and moderation, and rejecting violence and extremism, thus contributing to building a safe, stable, and intellectually and behaviorally balanced society.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The seminar included several key themes, most notably:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The first theme: Social Peace in the Quranic Perspective, which addressed the concept of social peace in the Holy Quran, where it calls for spreading peace among people, preserving the unity of society, and achieving public tranquility.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The second theme: The Holy Quran and its system of moral values, linking ethics to faith and righteous deeds, and establishing it as a constant approach guiding human behavior in all aspects of life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The third theme: The Holy Quran&#8217;s stance on violence and extremism, viewing violence and extremism as deviations from the divine path based on mercy, justice, and moderation, and rejecting all forms of aggression.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The fourth theme: Quranic moderation and building societal awareness, addressing the concept of moderation in the Quranic approach, which contributes to achieving a balance between the requirements of religion and the realities of life, thus helping individuals interact positively with their communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The symposium recommended the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">1. Strengthening moderate Quranic discourse in educational and media institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">2. Supporting educational programs that focus on a correct understanding of the Holy Quran.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">3. Intensifying activities and seminars that contribute to spreading a culture of peace and social coexistence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">4.
