Under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdel-Razzaq Mohamed, The College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a continuing education course entitled “Diagnosis and treatment of periodontal and peri-implant diseases”, in the presence of a number of faculty members and postgraduate students.
The course aimed to enable students and researchers to learn modern methods used in the treatment of diseases, periodontal surgery and dental implants.
The course included three themes:
The first: was about the modern methods used in diagnosing gum recession around dental implants.
The second: was about the uses of the proteomic approach in the diagnosis of diseases of the tissues around the teeth.
The third axis: was about the biological modifications used on the surfaces of the roots of the tooth during the periodontal surgical treatments.
The participants in the course recommended conducting similar courses and workshops that include clinical training for the benefit of all.
