The research poster entitled “Opportunistic Oral Microorganisms in Multiple Sclerosis Disease with Different treatment Modalities” has been accepted. The author is the student Zainab Murtada Hussein under the supervision of Prof. Dr.  Fawaz Dawer from the College of Dentistry, University of Baghdad, Oral Diagnostics Branch.

The study focus on the relationship between oral microorganisms and MS Patients. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the pathogenic changes in normal oral flora during different treatment modalities and compare them with healthy individuals .
the result   concluded   that oral microorganisms  (staphylococcus aureus , Porphyromonas gingivalis , Bacteroides fragilis and Candida albicans )increased in MS patients  and involved in the development of the disease moreover  MS patients may be more susceptible to periodontal disease due to high P. gingivalis levels
