Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdel-Razzaq Muhammad Al-Muhammad, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a symposium entitled Societal Peace in Islam. Delivered by Assit Prof. Nour Raouf Al-Hassani.
The goal of the symposium: to inform participants of the importance of societal peace and peaceful coexistence among members of society from an Islamic point of view and the most important ways to achieve it.
The symposium included many topics, as follows:
1- Social peace according to the Holy Qur’an.
2- Aspects of social peace in Islam.
3- The methods followed briefly to achieve coexistence and societal peace.
The symposium recommended: The necessity of emphasizing to educate the future generations to accept others and live in peace with all members of society, regardless of their color, belief, and orientations, and emphasizing the rejection of hate speech among members of society.
