Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdel-Razzaq Muhammad, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific lecture entitled “Oral Medicine and its Relationship to Dental Implants”, by Professor Dr. Fawaz Daoud Al-Aswad at the Second Scientific Forum of Al-Kafeel University, in the presence of Professor Dr. Muzamil Nasrat Ahmed (The University of Sheffield in Britain), The President of Al-Kafeel University, the deans of the faculties of dentistry and general medicine, and a number of faculty members and graduate students from both Al-Kafeel University/Najaf Al-Ashraf and the University of Kufa.
The aim of the lecture was to introduce the topic of oral medicine and its relationship to dental implants in terms of temporomandibular joint pain, dental occlusions, and the force exerted on the implanted teeth.
Professor Dr. Fawaz Daoud Al-Aswad recommended:
1- Establishing scientific relations between Al-Kafeel University and the University of Baghdad/College of Dentistry
2- Co-operation the two universities in supervision postgraduate and preliminary studies students.
3- Exchanging information and experiences between the two universities in the field of dentistry.
4- Conducting researches between the two universities.
