Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Al-Hashimi, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit in the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific symposium entitled methods of early detection of breast and cervical cancers. The lecture was presented by the specialist physician Dr. Sura Yassin in the presence of a number of employees and faculty members at the college.
The scientific symposium aimed to introduce the different methods for detecting breast and cervical cancer. The symposium also included topics that dealt with identifying the correct method for breast self-examination and the necessity of performing it periodically in person or by visiting the concerned hospitals, as well as the mechanism for spreading awareness within the formations of the University of Baghdad and its affiliates and involving them in awareness seminars related to this topic.
The lecture recommended the necessity of preparing more educational awareness lectures on breast and cervical cancer because of their importance in reducing the risk of developing this disease.
