Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdel-Razzaq Muhammad the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific symposium entitled Green Chemistry and Sustainable Chemical Processes. It was delivered by Prof. Iman Turki Shamkhi and Prof. Abeer Khaled Yassin.
The symposium aimed to introduce the concept of green chemistry and its importance in society in terms of economy, environment and health.
The symposium included several topics that provided a comprehensive explanation of the principles of green chemistry. It showed the difference between green chemistry and pollution treatment.
The symposium recommended the need to raise awareness of how to apply green chemistry and its importance in achieving sustainable development, providing care for the environment and society, and identifying the challenges that can be faced during its application.
