Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdel-Razzaq Muhammad the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a training course entitled “Using the Latex program in Writing Dissertation and theses”. The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Ghasaq Hisham Jani and Lecturer Dr. Ali Nimah Ahmed.
The training course aimed to provide an introduction to creating documents for scientific theses using the LaTeX system.
The course demonstrated the program’s ability to create an open-source coding language that allows users to create and modify instructions and templates freely and also supports various output formats such as PDF and HTML. In addition, it provides ready-made libraries for elements commonly used in scientific texts, such as mathematical equations and graphs.
The course recommended the need to use the Latex program, as this system provides a wide range of commands and features that enable the author to format the document and add contents with high efficiency while maintaining quality and consistency.
