The College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific symposium entitled: A brief explanation of the mechanism of action of the drug Saxenda®, its uses, and side effects. It was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Nour Raouf Al-Hasani and attended by a number of faculty members at the college.
The symposium aimed to introduce the participants to the drug Saxenda.
The workshop also included several axes, the most important of which are:
1- How to use Saxenda to reduce weight.
2- What are the contraindications.
3- The most important instructions that must be followed when using this drug.
4- Side effects.
5- How to increase doses correctly.
6- Emphasizing the use of the drug only under medical supervision.
The symposium recommended the optimal use of medications and not using this medication and other medications for weight loss except under medical supervision.
