As a scientific achievement reflecting the academic awareness and the commitment of teaching staff of College of Dentistry / University of Baghdad. The demonstrator Haidar Yassin from Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, was able to identify a scientific error in the book Contemporary Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, 7th Edition 2019 Elsevier.
The scientific committee of Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery has confirmed the presence of the mistake and contacted the international publishing house. The publishing house respond and corrected the error in the updated version of the book.
The Dean of the College of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Muhammad Al-Hashemi, supported such initiatives and praised the Iraqi competencies. These achievements demonstrate the leadership of the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad in keeping pace with international academic standards and enhances the path of higher education in Iraq towards excellence and innovation.
