The Dean of the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Al-Hashemi, and Professor Dr. Abdul Basit Ahmed Fathallah, Head of the Prosthetics Branch, participated in the activities of the Regional Conference of the World Dental Federation (FDI Regional Congress) and the Saudi International Dental Conference (SIDC), which was held from January 16 to 18, 2025 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.
During his participation, the Dean emphasised the importance of opening up horizons for scientific and research cooperation between universities, pointing to the prominent role played by Saudi universities in the field of scientific research. It was agreed to enhance academic and research cooperation with King Saud bin Abdulaziz University, which contributes to the development of academic programs and joint research.
The President of the Saudi Dental Society, Dr. Ziad bin Hamoud Al-Lahem, praised the distinguished scientific and research role provided by the University of Baghdad, noting that the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad ranks fifth in the Arab world according to the Scopus classification for scientific research. This participation comes within the efforts of the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad to enhance its academic and scientific position at the regional and international levels and to confirm its pioneering role in developing dentistry through scientific research and joint cooperation.
