Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Muhammad, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop entitled (Stimulating Creativity among Students) delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Shaima Sabti and attended by a number of faculty members at the college.
The aim of the workshop was to introduce participants to the importance of stimulating creativity among students, which is a vital element in their academic journey, as it plays an effective role in shaping their educational experiences and achieving their success.
The workshop also included several axes, the most important of which was clarifying the concept of creative thinking in teaching, its stages, and its importance, as well as the role of the educational institution in developing creative thinking, and how creative thinking builds the learner’s personality, and the most important strategies and methods of applying creative thinking in teaching.
The workshop recommended: The need to encourage students to solve problems in creative ways. And to involve them in activities that require thinking outside the box, such as group and individual exercises, games, and conceptual problem-solving tasks.
