It is my pleasure to welcome you to the official website of the College of Dentistry, University of Baghdad. This website serves as a platform for communication with our students, faculty and staff, researchers, and the wider community, while reflecting the College’s mission in education, scientific research, and community service.
As the first and one of the leading dental colleges in Iraq, the College is committed to preparing dentists who possess strong scientific knowledge, advanced clinical skills, and the highest professional and ethical standards. This is achieved through progressive academic programmes, advanced clinical training, and an educational and research environment aligned with international standards. The College also continues to provide high-quality oral healthcare services to the community through its teaching clinics under the supervision of distinguished faculty members.
The College places strong emphasis on scientific research and innovation. It encourages publication in reputable international journals, organises scientific conferences and seminars, and seeks to expand academic cooperation with universities and research institutions in Iraq and abroad, thereby strengthening its academic standing and global engagement.
We are proud of the College’s academic and research achievements, most notably its unprecedented placement within the 51–150 band of the QS World University Rankings by Subject, and the attainment of a Q1 ranking by the College’s journal in the Scopus database. These accomplishments are complemented by continued progress in quality assurance, academic accreditation, scientific publication, and international collaboration.
Our ambition is to continue advancing our educational and research programmes and to prepare distinguished graduates and professionals who are capable of responding to global developments and making meaningful contributions to community service. Through these efforts, we seek to further enhance the College’s standing at the local, regional, and international levels.
