The College of Dentistry, the oldest and leading dental college in Iraq, is committed to preparing highly qualified dentists with the scientific knowledge, clinical competence, and professional ethics required to meet the evolving demands of modern dentistry. Through advanced academic programs, comprehensive clinical training, and an educational and research environment that aligns with international standards, the College continues to provide outstanding oral healthcare services to the community through its teaching clinics under the supervision of distinguished faculty members.
The College places great emphasis on scientific research and innovation by encouraging publication in internationally recognized, high-impact peer-reviewed journals, organizing scientific conferences, symposia, and academic seminars, and expanding academic collaboration with leading universities and research institutions both nationally and internationally, thereby strengthening its academic reputation and research excellence.
We are proud of the College’s remarkable academic and research achievements. Among its most notable accomplishments is attaining an unprecedented ranking within the 51–150 band in the QS World University Rankings by Subject (Dentistry), in addition to the College’s scientific journal being ranked in Quartile 1 (Q1) within the Scopus database. These achievements are complemented by continued progress in quality assurance, academic accreditation, research productivity, and international collaboration.
Our aspiration is to further advance our educational and research programs, cultivate distinguished graduates capable of meeting global standards, and contribute meaningfully to society, while reinforcing the College’s position as a leading institution at the national, regional, and international levels.
