Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul-Razzaq Muhammad, the respected, the College of Dentistry, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific symposium entitled AIDS (the silent crisis sweeping the world) by Dr. Saleha Sahib Musa, which was attended by teaching staff and students.
The symposium aimed to introduce this dangerous disease that affects many people as a result of illegal relationships, blood transfusions, or the use of syringes contaminated with this virus.
The topics of the symposium included defining HIV, the cause of human immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), types of this virus, modes of transmission, how it causes disease, symptoms, stages of infection with this disease and how to reduce and prevent this disease
