Under the supervision of Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdel Razzaq Muhammad, the College of Dentistry, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific symposium entitled (Violence against women is a health problem) presented by Prof. Dr. Irada Zaidan Al-Jubouri and Prof. Dr. Bushra Jamil Ismail from the College of Information, University of Baghdad,which was attended by staff members, and students.
The symposium included the followingheadlines:
1- Defining the meaning and types of violence
2- Introducing physical violence in the private and public fields.
3- Forms of electronic violence against women
4- Common features of violence against women, and what can be done to help a “woman” person who is being abused
5- How to empower women in the society.
