Postgraduate scholarships for non-Iraqi students:
The College of Dentistry provides postgraduate study seats, one for studying a master’s degree in prosthodontics, and two seats for studying a master’s degree in orthodontics. The study system for a master’s degree is two years. The first academic year, course year, is for studying general academic subjects and subjects with the required specialization. It includes weekly lectures of 15 lectures for each semester (first semester and second semester), clinical treatment on patients, discussions and exams at the end of each semester. The second academic year, research year, begins with developing research proposal for the selected the topic with the help of the supervisor. It is approved by the College Council. If the research require more than one year, the student allowed to apply for extension (maximum twice). At the end of the study the student submits the thesis and has the viva.
