The activities of the second day of the second unified international national conference for dental colleges in Iraq, held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, witnessed a lecture given by Dr. Muhammad Radwan on leadership from the Arab Republic of Egypt.
After that, a dialogue session was held entitled “Leadership Dialogue” moderated by Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Al-Hashemi, Chairman of the Conference and Chairman of the Deans Committee of Dental Colleges in Iraq.
The dialogue was attended by Professor Dr. Muhammad Radwan, Dr. Bashar, Director of “Sawa” Company from Iraq, Dr. Taghreed Ajwa from the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Dr. Qais Al-Jumaili from Iraq. The session addressed many topics, most notably the methods and means that allow the investment of modern capabilities in the fields of work and the role of social media as an effective tool for achieving professional goals in terms of providing job opportunities for young people and investing them positively.
Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Al-Hashemi stressed the importance of discussing current issues facing young people and enhancing cooperation between academics and experts from various Arab countries, which contributes to drawing a roadmap for building a promising professional future for future generations. And enhancing awareness of entrepreneurship among young people and encouraging them to innovate creative solutions that suit the needs of the changing labor market.
At the end of the conference, it came out with several recommendations, the most prominent of which are:
1. Strengthening the knowledge economy and investing in scientific research to support innovation and development in the field of dentistry, which contributes to achieving sustainable development.
2. Encouraging openness to the private sector to establish strategic partnerships that contribute to developing the dental profession and enhancing the quality of education and scientific research.
3. Establishing an Arab cooperation zone for scientific research to exchange expertise and knowledge and support joint research projects between Arab countries.
4. Studying applications of artificial intelligence in dental sciences to keep pace with technological developments and improve the quality of medical services.
5. Activating international partnerships and developing relations between Iraqi researchers and foreign research to raise the level of education and scientific research in Iraq to the highest levels of scientific leadership.
6. Supporting the culture of entrepreneurship among young people and using social media as an innovative tool to achieve professional development, encourage them to think creatively, and keep pace with the needs of the changing labor market.
