The College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad hosted a meeting of the Committee of Deans of Government Colleges of Dentistry, chaired by the Dean of the College, Professor Ali Ismail Ibrahim, in implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research concerning the application of scientific quality standards to academic staff members in newly established colleges and departments specializing in dentistry. The meeting was attended by Professor Baidaa Othman Ali, Dean of the College of Dentistry at Ibn Sina University for Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Professor Ghassan Abdul Hameed Naji, Dean of the College of Dentistry at the Iraqi University. The discussions focused on the mechanisms and approved procedures for evaluating the scientific and academic competence of faculty members in accordance with the requirements of quality assurance and academic accreditation, with the aim of enhancing educational and research standards. The Dean of the College of Dentistry emphasized the importance of sustaining coordination and collaboration among the Colleges of Dentistry at Iraqi universities to support the objectives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, strengthen the academic process, and advance the quality of specialized dental education outcomes.
