The College of Dentistry, University of Baghdad, hosted the eleventh session of the National Council for Accreditation of Colleges of Dentistry, headed by Prof. Raghad Abdul-Razzaq Al-Hashemi, Chairman of the National Council for Accreditation of Colleges of Dentistry, and the presence of the Head of the Accreditation Department in the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, Prof. Yusra Mohammed Abdullah
The Council discussed many topics, including the establishment of an operational plan for the Council for the purpose of spreading awareness about program accreditation standards for dental colleges by holding workshops and courses in all governorates of Iraq. The Council also discussed the issue of forming an advisory committee for the Council consisting of a number of foreign experts in the field of quality and accreditation. The Council discussed A number of self-assessment reports for colleges that seek to apply for accreditation. A systematic plan has been developed to coordinate with external institutions as a step to obtain international accreditation.
