The College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a continuing education course entitled “Clinical and Oral Manifestations of Hematological Diseases,”.

The course aimed to introduce the most common hematological diseases related to the oral system, such as anemia, leukemia, thrombocytopenia, and bleeding disorders, highlighting the distinctive clinical signs of each and explaining the most important associated oral manifestations.

The continuing education course included several key topics:

• An introduction to the importance of blood and its functions in the human body, and a review of the classifications of hematological diseases and their mechanisms of occurrence.

• An explanation of the clinical signs accompanying hematological disorders and their impact on oral health.

• A discussion of the distinctive oral manifestations of each hematological disease, explaining how oral tissues react to hematological changes.
• Highlighting the latest diagnostic methods for hematological diseases with oral manifestations.
• Reviewing appropriate medical and oral treatment approaches for each case, and the most important preventive recommendations for patients.
• Presenting clinical cases supported by illustrative images to facilitate understanding of oral signs and early diagnosis.
