Within the framework of strengthening academic and research collaboration and developing the level of education in the field of dentistry, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad, under the auspices of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul-Razzaq Mohammed, signed twinning and cooperation agreements with several dental colleges at private universities. These included: the College of Dentistry at Al-Amin University, represented by its Dean, Professor Dr. Khulood Abdul-Hadi Jassim, and the College of Dentistry at Ashur University, represented by its Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Saja Karim Ismail Al-Zuhairi.
The twinning agreements included a number of key areas, most notably: joint teaching and research supervision, organizing scientific conferences and publishing research in reputable international journals, holding seminars, workshops, and training courses, as well as exchanging scientific visits for students, holding academic debates and exhibitions of research outputs, in addition to exchanging administrative expertise.
The agreement aims to strengthen partnership ties and open new horizons for scientific and research cooperation, which will contribute to raising the academic and research level and enhancing the quality of education in the field of dentistry in Iraq, as well as consolidating the spirit of partnership between governmental and private universities in service of the academic process.
