The College of Dentistry Council at the University of Baghdad held its regular meeting during its thirty-third session on Tuesday, 9 June 2026, chaired by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Ismail Ibrahim, and attended by the Assistant Deans and Heads of Scientific Branches.
The meeting commenced with a review of the directives issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Presidency of the University of Baghdad, and the Dean of the College. Discussions focused on mechanisms to enhance academic and administrative performance and on adopting the necessary decisions to serve the best interests of the College.
The Council also reviewed proposals submitted by the scientific branches, the Scientific Affairs Unit, the Postgraduate Studies Division, and the Student and Administrative Affairs Divisions. These proposals were discussed in light of their potential contribution to meeting labour market requirements and supporting the continuous development of the educational process.
This meeting forms part of the College Council’s regular sessions, which aim to adopt appropriate decisions in accordance with its agenda and in line with applicable regulations and instructions, while implementing the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Presidency of the University of Baghdad concerning academic and educational affairs.
