The President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul-Hassan Al-Zughaibi, visited the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad. He was received by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Ismail Ibrahim, along with the heads of the academic departments and a number of faculty members.
During the visit, the academic and scientific status of the college was discussed, along with key future plans aimed at developing the educational and research process. These plans are designed to contribute to raising the level of academic performance and enhancing the quality of higher education in the field of dentistry.
During the meeting, the President of the University emphasized the importance of supporting medical colleges and providing a suitable environment for advancing the scientific and research level. He commended the efforts exerted by the college’s administration and faculty in serving the educational process and achieving scientific accomplishments.
For his part, the Dean of the College reviewed the most prominent academic and research activities taking place at the college, in addition to development projects and strategic plans aimed at strengthening the college’s position at both the local and international levels. This visit comes within the framework of the university presidency’s keenness to follow up on the academic reality in its various formations, and to identify its needs, in line with the directions of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in developing higher education institutions and improving their scientific outputs.
