The Deanship of the College of Dentistry, University of Baghdad, represented by its Dean, Professor Dr. Ali Ismail Al-Bustani, participated in the meeting convened to activate the scientific cooperation agreement between the University of Baghdad and Tehran University of Medical Sciences. During the meeting, both parties agreed to establish specialized joint working groups in the fields of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, and genetic engineering, within the framework of strengthening academic and research collaboration and advancing the quality of higher education in health-related disciplines.
The agreement encompasses several key areas of cooperation, including joint teaching activities, co-supervision of scientific research, the organization of scientific conferences and academic events, and the publication of research in reputable international journals. In addition, it seeks to enhance studies and initiatives in medical education and training, while promoting the exchange of academic and administrative expertise between the two institutions.
The agreement aims to reinforce scientific and academic ties between the two universities and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience in ways that contribute to enhancing educational and research standards. It also seeks to advance academic and research programs, improve the quality of higher education outcomes, and foster a culture of collaboration and international partnership, thereby supporting the continued development of the scientific and academic landscape in Iraq.
