As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen academic and research collaboration and advance the quality of higher education in the field of dentistry, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad signed a joint scientific and academic cooperation agreement with the College of Dentistry at Sulaimani University. The agreement was concluded under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Ali Ismail Ibrahim, and was signed with the College of Dentistry at Sulaimani University, represented by its Dean, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rangdar Mahmood Othman, in the presence of the Assistant Deans and a number of members of the College Council.
The agreement encompasses several key areas of cooperation, including joint teaching activities, co-supervision of scientific research, the organization of conferences and scientific events, and the publication of research in reputable international journals. It also includes the implementation of specialized seminars, workshops, and training courses. Furthermore, the agreement seeks to establish joint international partnerships with foreign universities and academic institutions, in addition to facilitating the exchange of academic and administrative expertise between the two institutions.
The agreement aims to strengthen scientific and academic ties between the two colleges and promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise in ways that contribute to enhancing educational and research standards. It also seeks to develop academic and research programs, improve the quality of higher education outcomes, and foster a culture of cooperation and partnership among Iraqi universities in support of the scientific and academic advancement of Iraq.
