Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul-Razzaq Mohammed
The Scientific Affairs Unit of the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a specialized workshop entitled: “Introduction to Exocad Software.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Ali Al-Qarmali and Dr. Ghassan Nasser from Innovation Company – Dubai, and was attended by a number of faculty members, postgraduate students, and undergraduate students.
The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of Exocad, a leading software in the field of digital dental design, and to demonstrate its practical applications in complete oral rehabilitation using the latest digital protocols. This contributes to enhancing the efficiency and skills of the College of Dentistry’s staff and students in modern digital technologies.
The workshop also included several key topics, most notably:
1- The CAD smile design program, “Exocad: CAD Software That Transforms Smiles,” which focused on how to use digital design tools to achieve aesthetic and functional harmony in smiles. 2- The workshop presented a comprehensive digital protocol for full mouth rehabilitation, titled “Complete Digital Protocol in Full Mouth Rehabilitation,” which included a detailed overview of the digital workflow.
The workshop recommended the following:
1- Encouraging students and faculty members to keep abreast of the latest developments in digital dentistry.
2- Strengthening scientific collaboration between the college and medical software companies to provide ongoing practical training on modern design programs.
3- Supporting research initiatives focused on integrating digital technologies into daily dental practices.
