The College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad, Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry Branch, with the participation of Al-Imameen Al-Jawadin Kindergarten, held a World Oral Health Day celebration and in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Saif Siham Salim. The Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Lecturer Dr. Hossam Mohamed Saeed, and a number of faculty members and college employees.
As part of this occasion, Assistant Professor Aseel Haider, Head of the Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry department, gave a speech that addressed the importance of oral health in promoting healthy and preventive behaviors among individuals. She stressed the importance of oral and dental care and enhancing awareness among people. She pointed out that this occasion is an important opportunity to remember the necessity of following healthy oral and dental care habits and to visit the dentist regularly for periodic examination and obtaining the necessary treatment, and then early detection of any health problems and maintaining the health of the teeth and gums.
A documentary film about World Oral Health Day was shown at the College of Dentistry, and Al-Imameen Al-Jawadin Kindergarten presented a special celebration on this occasion. A competition was also held for children, and at the end of the ceremony, gifts were distributed to the winning teams.
Celebrating World Oral Health Day at the College of Dentistry reflects the college’s commitment to enhancing awareness of the importance of oral health and encouraging students and the community to follow healthy oral and dental care habits. This event is an opportunity to spread knowledge and awareness to maintain oral health.
