The College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad – Legal Department organized a training course entitled “State and Public Sector Employees Discipline Law No. (14) of 1991, as amended.” The course was presented by Assistant Lecturer Imad Bandar Atwan and attended by a number of faculty members and staff.
The training course aimed to enhance the legal and administrative knowledge of employees and workers in state institutions regarding the provisions of the State and Public Sector Employees Discipline Law No. (14) of 1991, as amended. It also aimed to clarify job rights and duties, and the mechanisms of legal accountability, thereby contributing to raising the level of job discipline and achieving sound institutional performance in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The training course included several key topics, most notably:
• An introduction to the State and Public Sector Employees Discipline Law and its objectives.
• The duties of a public employee.
• Disciplinary violations and penalties stipulated in the law.
• Administrative investigation procedures. The training course recommended the necessity of:
Intensifying training courses related to employment laws and administrative discipline.
