The Medical Physics Laboratory was established in the 1990s during the founding of the Basic Sciences Department in 1991. The Medical Physics Laboratory is considered one of the fundamental laboratories belonging to the Basic Sciences Department, which is part of the College of Dentistry/University of Baghdad.
* The laboratory occupies an area of (110.36 m2) and includes an internal room for administration, an external room for equipment storage, and three rooms for professors. The laboratory is equipped with iron doors and secure locks as safety measures, and there are two fire extinguishers ready for use. The laboratory also contains a first-aid kit equipped with gauze, cotton, iodine, and bandages.
* Water sources in the laboratory: The laboratory contains three sinks at the front, in addition to a sink at the back connected to a water heater.
* Power sources include electrical outlets distributed on the walls, along with an LCD screen.
* The laboratory is illuminated by large fluorescent lights and is equipped with laboratory benches with smooth surfaces that are easy to clean and sterilize. The laboratory is also equipped with stools for students and a table with chairs for the teaching staff.
* Cooling systems include two split-type air conditioners and ceiling fans.
