Under the patronage of the esteemed Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Mohammed, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad – Postgraduate Studies Division organized a workshop entitled “Mechanism for Verifying Postgraduate Applicants’ Data for the Academic Year 2025–2026”. The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Soha Talal Abdul, with the attendance of the Associate Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Saif Siham Saleem, along with several faculty members.
The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the key regulations and instructions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding the verification of postgraduate applicants’ (Master’s and PhD) data for the academic year 2025–2026.
Topics discussed included:
- Application procedures and both electronic and paper-based verification mechanisms, with the participation of the verification committee members.
- General and specific admission requirements.
- Criteria for applicant comparison and prioritization.
- Special instructions concerning the families of martyrs.
- Review of recent updates to the electronic application system.
The workshop concluded with recommendations stressing the importance of accuracy and caution when verifying applicants’ files—both paper and electronic—in order to avoid errors and ensure the verification process runs smoothly. This is particularly crucial given the increasing number of applicants and the need to complete the process within the designated timelines.
