Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Mohammed, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop titled “Afforestation and Its Impact on the University Environment.” The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Maha Fadheel Astifan and attended by a number of faculty members and staff.
The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of afforestation on university campuses and its impact on the environment, the university setting, students’ health, and their psychological well-being.
The session included several key topics addressing tree planting and the positive effects of planting trees on the surrounding environment.
The workshop concluded with recommendations emphasizing the importance of planting trees and carefully selecting beneficial and suitable tree species.
