Under the auspices of the respected Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdel-Razzaq Muhammad, College of Dentistry University of Baghdad organized a scientific symposium regarding Functional orthodontics entitled “Myofunctional appliances”, in the presence of a number of teaching staff by Assistant Professor Mahdi Abdel-Hadi
The scientific symposium aims to clarify the purpose of those devices, which is to bring the lower jaw forward to reduce the horizontal distance between the jaws, especially in cases of class II malocclusion.
The symposium included a number of topics: introducing functional devices, their benefits, and the reasons for using functional devices.
The lecture recommends: using these devices during the time of growth.
