Under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdel-Razzaq , College of Dentistry University of Baghdad organized a scientific lecture on Head and Neck Reconstruction, by Professor Dr. Muzammil Nusrat Ahmed, a pillar of the University of Sheffield in Britain and a member of the Board of Maxillofacial Surgery in collaboration with Professor Dr. Fawaz Daoud Al-Aswad. Several faculty teaching members and post-graduate students have attended the lecture.
It aimed to introduce oral cancer tumors, therapeutic surgery, and other treatment modalities provided in Britain.
The included topics were:
1- Diagnosis of oral cancers.
2- Types of plastic surgeries.
3- Using robots in surgery.
The lecture recommended the following:
1- Use of robots in surgical procedures and expanding the types of surgeries used in various oral cancers.
2- Conduct joint research with the British team, if possible.
