The Second International Unified National Conference for Dental Colleges in Iraq
Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and under the supervision of the Deans of Dental Colleges Committee. The activities of the Second International Unified National Conference for Dental Colleges in Iraq were held on Friday, 13/12/2024, in the Grand Celebrations Hall.
The conference was attended by Dr. Bashar Al-Saadi, the respected representative of the Prime Minister, Mr. Adnan Al-Sarraj, the respected Advisor to the Prime Minister for Education Affairs, Mr. Baha Ibrahim Insaf, the respected President of the University of Baghdad, representing the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Representative Yassin Al-Aithawi, representing the Parliamentary Education Committee, and the Chairman of the Deans of Dental Colleges Committee in Iraq, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Muhammad, the respected, and the Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, Dr. Maha Al-Ani, the respected. In addition to the presidents of universities and deans of colleges, the conference also witnessed wide participation from dentists and researchers from Iraq and Arab and foreign countries.
The conference included activities that opened with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the playing of the Iraqi national anthem and the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah in memory of the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, Palestine and Lebanon. The activities included a presentation presented by the Basic Migration Educational Foundation. In his speech, the Chairman of the Deans of the Colleges of Dentistry Committee in Iraq, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Muhammad, pointed out the importance of the conference in enhancing communication between researchers, locally and internationally. Stressing its role in reviewing the latest innovations in dentistry and applying them locally in a way that enhances the quality of education and scientific research, and contributes to building a strong academic community that keeps pace with global challenges in producing research that serves society and meets its needs. Dr. Bashar Al-Saadi, the Prime Minister’s representative, delivered a speech in which he stressed the Prime Minister’s support for scientific activities and conferences, noting that the Prime Minister’s strategy is based on building Iraq with science and enhancing its position to become among the advanced countries in various fields, including scientific and medical. In his speech, the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Insaf, praised the importance of scientific research in enhancing the position of higher education and educational institutions and the importance of holding the conference in Iraq – Baghdad, which brings together scientific competencies from different countries and highlights the challenges facing humanity, such as the impact of technology and artificial intelligence on new medical practices in treatment management.
In her speech, the respected Dr. Maha Al-Ani, head of the scientific committee of the conference, stressed the importance of dental colleges becoming centers of creativity, innovation and scientific excellence, praising the role of cooperation between academic institutions in achieving the goals of higher education. She stated that the conference included more than (40) lectures and workshops that included the latest developments in dental sciences.
On the sidelines of the conference, the exhibition of medical devices was opened.

• Displaying the latest scientific results and applied research and employing them scientifically in consolidating the quality of education and achieving sustainable development.
• Exchanging experiences with international researchers and learning about modern technologies in dental sciences.
• Developing the research and academic capabilities of researchers and lecturers according to the latest scientific developments.
