Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Muhammad, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad/Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit organized a course entitled “Medicinal Herbal Treatment for Diabetics,” delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Samia Ibrahim Hussein. A number of college students attended the course.

The course aimed to familiarize attendees with the types, causes, and symptoms of diabetes.

The course also included several topics, most notably a review of the most important medicinal herbs used in the treatment of diabetes and how to use them correctly as a safe treatment.

The course recommended the importance of familiarizing participants with the information presented about these herbs to avoid their harmful side effects and interactions with chemical medications used to treat this disease.
