Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Muhammad, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a practical symposium entitled “Internet and Smartphone Addiction (Digital Toxins)”. The symposium was delivered by Asst. Dr. Saliha Sahib Musa and attended by a number of faculty members.
The symposium aimed to identify the seriousness of internet and smartphone addiction, as well as how to reduce this phenomenon.
The symposium also included topics such as understanding the side effects of internet addiction and the side effects of smartphone addiction. It also addressed children, the internet, and smartphone use.
The symposium recommended the need to limit excessive internet and smartphone use and reduce the duration of time spent on them. It also emphasized the importance of adopting educational and pedagogical methods and approaches to combat or mitigate this phenomenon.
