Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Muhammad, the Academic Affairs Unit of the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a specialized workshop entitled “Introduction to Exocad Software.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Ali Al-Qarmli and Dr. Ghassan Nasser of Al-Ibtikar Company – Dubai, and attended by a number of faculty members, graduate students, and college students.
The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the basics of Exocad, a pioneering software in the field of digital dental design, while explaining its practical applications in full-mouth rehabilitation using the latest digital protocols. This will contribute to raising the efficiency and skills of the College of Dentistry staff and students in modern digital technologies.
The workshop also included several topics, most notably:
1- The CAD smile design program entitled “Exocad: CAD Software That Transforms Smiles,” which focused on how to use digital design tools to coordinate the aesthetic and functional harmony of a smile.
2- The “Complete Digital Protocol in Full Mouth Rehabilitation,” which included a detailed presentation of the digital workflow steps.
The workshop recommended the following:
1- Encouraging students and faculty members to keep pace with recent developments in the field of digital dentistry.
2- Enhancing scientific cooperation between the college and medical software companies to provide ongoing practical training on modern design programs.
3- Supporting research initiatives that integrate digital technologies into daily dental practice.
