Under the patronage of the esteemed Dean of the College of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Mohammed,
the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a training workshop entitled “Effective Communication Skills”, delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Sahar Hashim Abdul Kareem, with the attendance of several faculty members and staff.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness among participants about the importance of communication, to introduce the rules and skills related to the art of dealing with others, and to highlight how to use appropriate methods to ensure successful communication.
The workshop covered several topics, including communication skills, types of communication, the advantages of effective communication, the qualities required for successful interaction, the rules of dealing with others, the importance of communication in the workplace, the key to effective communication, and the role of listening in achieving successful dialogue and understanding.
The workshop recommended paying close attention during communication with others, mastering communication skills by adhering to simplicity and avoiding affectation, maintaining calmness, respecting others’ feelings, avoiding offensive words, and recognizing the importance of effective communication in work environments, considering it a matter of great significance
