Under the patronage of the esteemed Dean of the College of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Al-Hashemi,
the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad hosted a five-a-side football championship for undergraduate students on the college’s sports field.
The event was attended by Mr. Alaa Al-Mandalawi, Director of the Office of the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, who expressed his strong support for youth and sports, emphasizing the importance of such activities in fostering sportsmanship and developing student talents.
This championship comes as part of a series of sports activities organized by the college to promote teamwork, cooperation, and active participation in various aspects of university life.
At the conclusion of the tournament, the winning teams were honored and awards were distributed to outstanding players in an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and encouragement. Attendees highlighted the importance of continuing such events, which help refine young people’s skills and strengthen the role of sports in building well-rounded personalities. The organizers also expressed their gratitude to the Dean and Mr. Alaa Al-Mandalawi for their continuous support of students and youth.
