Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Mohammed, and on the occasion of National Afforestation Day, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad, through the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, organized a scientific seminar titled “Afforestation.” The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Suha Talal and attended by a number of the college’s students.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness about the risks of neglecting afforestation and its impact on society.
The seminar covered several key topics, including:
1. Definition of afforestation
2. Importance of afforestation
3. The impact of afforestation on the environment
4. The risks of neglecting afforestation on society
The seminar recommended organizing more lectures on afforestation and its importance in society in order to raise students’ awareness and encourage them to participate in these important environmental efforts.
