Under the patronage of the esteemed Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Mohammed, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad – Career Development, Employment, and Follow-up Unit organized a workshop entitled “E-Learning Platforms” as part of the National Strategy for Education and Higher Education (2022–2031). The workshop was delivered by Lecturer Woud Majid and attended by a number of students.
The workshop aimed to:
- Expand access to education for all groups regardless of geographical location.
- Enable self-paced learning according to each student’s time and speed.
- Reduce costs associated with traditional education.
- Improve student–teacher interaction through digital tools.
Key topics covered included:
- Digital educational content.
- Designing interactive curricula.
- Providing diverse resources (videos, PDF files).
- Learning management:
- Monitoring student performance.
- Automated and self-assessment methods.
The workshop concluded with recommendations stressing the importance of:
- Training teachers to use e-learning platforms professionally.
- Improving infrastructure (internet, devices).
- Providing high-quality educational content suitable for each stage.
- Promoting a culture of digital learning among students and parents.
- Regularly evaluating and updating platforms based on feedback.
