Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghd Abdul Razzaq Mohammed, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a continuing education course entitled “Digital Prosthodontics”, attended by a number of faculty members.
The course aimed to introduce modern methods and techniques for taking impressions for various types of dental prostheses using digital intraoral scanning cameras, as well as their different applications in the stages of fabricating certain types of prosthetic restorations.
The course also included a presentation of new techniques for producing fixed and removable prostheses using digital technologies, as showcased in the latest international scientific forums and exhibitions.
The course recommended placing greater emphasis on keeping up with the latest developments and updates in scanning systems used in prosthodontics and applying them practically, thereby enhancing the quality of services provided for different clinical cases.
