Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Mohammed, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a training course entitled:
“Fabrication of Hybrid Orthodontic Retainer.”
The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Mustafa Munim Al-Khateeb and Assistant Professor Laith Mohammed Kareem, in the presence of a number of faculty members of the College.
The training course aimed to explain the practical methods for fabricating fixed orthodontic appliances.
The course included several key topics, such as:
• An overview of hybrid fixed orthodontic retainers, their types, and the materials used in their fabrication.
• The laboratory procedures for manufacturing these retainers and their advantages.
• The types of fixed dental retention appliances, their characteristics, and the clinical steps followed during their placement.
The course recommended conducting this training program annually to keep pace with scientific and technological advancements in the field.
