Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Raghad Abdul Razzaq Mohammed, the College of Dentistry at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific seminar entitled:
“The Role of the Educated Class in Confronting and Solving Social Problems in Iraq to Promote Authentic Values and Build a Stable Future.”
The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Iman Amer Ahmed and attended by a number of faculty members of the College.
The seminar aimed to highlight the importance of the educated class in Iraqi society in addressing social challenges and preserving the community’s authentic values. As leaders of thought and culture, intellectuals can play a central role in building a stable and secure future for Iraq.
The seminar covered several key topics, including:
• The importance of participating in social and economic development programs.
• Ways to promote authentic values and strengthen national identity.
• The benefits of involving youth in community initiatives.
• The challenges and limitations facing the educated class in Iraq.
• Developing educational and cultural programs to meet societal needs.
The seminar recommended enhancing cooperation and coordination between the educated class, government institutions, and civil society to implement developmental and awareness initiatives at the national level. It also emphasized the need to develop educational and cultural programs aligned with community needs, actively engage youth in community initiatives, address challenges such as limited funding and politicization, and strengthen both material and moral incentives to encourage effective participation—while focusing on promoting authentic values and building a stable future for Iraqi society.
